Gaza Strip…..Any hope for peace????
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12064775
During the last few years Israel has had an embargo on the Gaza Strip allowing in limited necessary supplies in reaction to Hamas taking power in the Gaza Strip.. In the year prior to the cease fire approximately 12 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel per a day. During the ceasefire approximately 2 rockets were fired daily from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. This is a reduction of over 80%, but is still not perfect. Israel however during this time did not ease their embargo of the Gaza Strip at all.In November of 2008 the ceasefire ended and rockets were still being fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel. On December 26th, 2008 Israel began an air campaign targeting Hamas in the Gaza Strip. To date there have been over 360 casualties in the Gaza Strip. Some foreign aid to the region has been denied. Government buildings in the Gaza Strip have been targeted. I have come across two goals by the Israelis in regards to this conflict, first to stop the rockets being fired into Israel and two to remove Hamas from power.

While there is a consensus in the international community that ethnic group have been targeted and that crimes against humanity have therefore occurred, there has been debate in some quarters about whether genocide has taken place. In May 2006, the International Commission of Inquiry on Darfur organized by United Nations “concluded that the Government of the Sudan has not pursued a policy of genocide … international offences such as the crimes against humanity and war crimes that have been committed in Darfur may be more serious and heinous than genocide. The United States government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individual world leaders have chosen to use the word “genocide” for what is taking place in Darfur. Most notably, in passing the Darfur Peace and Accountability Act of 2006, the US government codified specific economic and legal sanctions on the government of Sudan as a result of its findings of genocide

According to International War Criminal Lasw, The Mass Murder can be defined as a killing of numbers of people under a millitery action and those responsible for such an order will face suvior punishment under International Criminal Courts.
On July 3, 1988, Iran Air Flight 655 (IR655) was shot down by USS Vincennes on the Bandar Abbas-Dubai rout, which resulted in the loss of life of 290 innocent civilian from six nations including 66 children. There were 38 non-Iranians aboard. While issuing notes of regret over the loss of human life, the U.S. government has, to date, neither admitted any wrongdoing or responsibility in this tragedy, nor apologized, but continues to blame Iranian hostile actions for the incident. The men of the Vincennes were all awarded combat-action ribbons. Commander Lustig, the air-warfare coordinator, even won the navy’s Commendation Medal for “heroic achievement”, his “ability to maintain his poise and confidence under fire” having enabled him to “quickly and precisely complete the firing procedure.” According to a 23 April 1990 article printed in The Washington Post, the Legion of Merit was presented to Captain Rogers and Lieutenant Commander Lustig for their performance in the Persian Gulf on 3 July 1988. The citations did not mention the downing of the Iran Air flight at all.Paying Compentions of 248000 USD to families of victim was the only action made by US under the United Nations pressure.
I wonder sometimes, where was the International Criminal Justice at that time??Does it ever applys to United States or it only applys to certain country????If killing of numbers of civilian is defined as a mass murder under International cirminal laws, why Caption Rogers never faced international criminal courts inseate of being decorated with medals???What is International Justice ??? Isn’t just a theory ???????
Women Rights Movement
The women’s rights movement began in the nineteenth century with the demand by some women reformers for the right to vote, known as suffrage, and for the same legal rights as men. Though the vote was secured for women by the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920, most of the gains women have made in achieving legal equality and ending gender discrimination have come since the 1960s. Civil Rights legislation of that era was primarily focused on ensuring that African Americans and other racial minorities secured Equal Protection of the laws. However, the inclusion of sex as a protected category under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 gave women a powerful legal tool to end Sex Discrimination and to erase cultural stereotypes about females. The modern women’s rights movement began in the 1960s and gained momentum with the development of the scholarly field of Feminist Jurisprudence in the 1970s. The quest for women’s rights has led to legal challenges in the areas of employment, domestic relations, reproductive rights, education, and Criminal Law. Although the women’s rights movement failed to secure ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), the courts have generally been receptive to claims that demand recognition of rights under the EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSE of the Fourteenth Amendment
Cold War
A bipolar system is one in which there are two evenly matched powers, for instance, the US and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. A multipolar system is one in which power is scattered among three or more countries. To understand why bipolar systems are more stable, consider the current situation in the Middle East. No two nations in the Middle East are a great deal more powerful than all of the rest (though some disparities in power do exist), and the nations are not organized into two competing groups. Instead, each country has a tangled web of rivalries and friendships. The political situation there is perpetually tense because each nation must be alert for threats from many potential adversaries, and there is great possibility for misunderstanding or misjudgments of the situation. In contrast, during the Cold War, the United States knew that its enemies were Communists and its allies were anyone who was not a Communist. Much less intelligence-gathering and guesswork was involved recognizing potential threats, and the US did not have to fear hostilities from multiple fronts.
Iran Oil Embargo
Iran Oil Embargo; What consequences for Europe???
The EU formally adopted an oil embargo against Iran and agreed a freeze on the assets of the Central Bank of Iran on Monday while existing contracts will be active until July 1.In a statement issued on Monday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the European Union will be responsible for the consequences of its wrong decision to press oil embargo against Iran.It seems that the European Union has been illogically following the U.S. policies and has been seeking to get the world’s attention from the popular awakening, which is calling for justice, and anti-discrimination and anti-capitalist movement through creating an unreal atmosphere with the aim of distracting attention from its economic and social problems. The Iranian nation has repeatedly proved that it has never give up their legal rights under pressure and cruel measures and belief in international peace and stability and reminds leaders of Western countries about the fact that opposing the independence and progress of independent countries will cause problems of today’s world and that the European Union will be responsible for the consequences of such injudicious decisions and effort to create tension and crisis.
Will world develop into a multipolar, unipolar, or bipolar????
On18 November, 2011.The creation of the Eurasian Union serves as a statement of Moscow’s global ambitions and a powerful move to form a supranational alliance to eventually counterweight the unipolar world built after the end of the Soviet Union.
